Why NOT????

I figure what the Heck -- it sucks to be shown up by a younger brother. So if Jeff can do it ... wth!

This is the Dean and Colleen Webb Family in Mazatlan, Mexico!

(From Left to Right)
Kiersten our oldest (turns 19 this year and graduated HS last year) is now enrolled at SLCC part time and works full time as a chair side dental/ortho assistant in Magna.
Colleen of course (where all our girls get their good looks from), she is a Q/A engineer for a software company. We will be celebrating our 22 anniversary in Feb 2009.
Lindsay (turns 15 in next January) started 9th grade this year -- her midterm was a 3.7gpa so she's killing it at school!
ME! Now for you OLD GEEZERS (uh hum ... Aunt Nancy et all) I'm turning 44 in March of next year -- so I'm knocking on the door of the old geezer club too. For the last 6 years I have owned my own financial services company -- love it (being a business owner/self employed person is the ONLY way to go!) I don't know how I worked under someone else's thumb for as long as I did!

In 2007 we bought a condo in Mazatlan at the El Cid Marina and Beach Club. Our Plan is to go back there at least once a year. Colleen and I were supposed to be going to celebrate our 20th anniversary ... somehow the kids roped us in to taking them.

This year (2008) we invited 2 of Colleen's sisters and their families to come with us. Lot's of people, but we had a blast. You know, we've had a chance to travel a little, I still absolutely love Mazatlan.

The kids love to parasail -- here's a couple of pictures of that! Last year's pictures were the best ...

As you can see, they loved it! The first time up was a little nerve racking for them, but now ... they won't NOT go when we have the chance!

At least once a summer we try to do a pig roast. Colleen's father built this huge grill that we can put anything up to about 250lbs on to roast ... this one is just a little 100lb pig ... but oh they turn out great!

This is Kiersten's cap and gown picture from her graduation in 2008 from West Jordan HS. We were very proud parents and at the same time feeling a little old having a HS school graduate in the house. It's really hard to believe how fast time flies ... and you don't necessarily always have to be having fun at the same time.

The Browns of California

I thought it would be fun for people that view this blog to hear an update on my family. LaNell is typing the post and so it will definitely be biased and from her point of view. I would encourage my Mom to post but we are just grateful she has mastered email and are not quite sure if she is ready for the blogging world yet. But we still love her!!

Dad: also known as Pops and The old man. He is doing good. Currently unemployed due to the slow economy in California. Apparently construction workers were hit hard. He was working for a cabinet business but is currently looking for a new job. He is busy keeping the fort down while my mother supports him (he will like that.) All prayers are welcome on helping him to find work. He is also very concerned at helping his children find eternal companions.

Mom: working at the Middle School in the cafeteria as a lunch lady. She also cleans on the side, helps elderly ladies, and does hair occasionaly. She is the relief society president in our home ward.

Me: Refer to my blog but teaching PE and grad school consume my life other than my exercise adventures I write about on my blog. Just bought a townhome as well and I love it.

Dan: All hail the Halo king. We are very proud of Dan because he is taking 14 credits this semester, he has not been a full-time student for a while. He is an animation major at BYU. Loves all classes to do with animation and computers. Absolutely hates all other classes and really struggles attending them. Works a night shift as well to support himself.

Sam: Attending Byu Idaho and will graduate in December in Business with an emhasis in accounting. Is dating a very nice young lady and in his very own words we have been dating for over a month and I can't seem to scare her off. (We are all secretly hoping Caleb won't do that).

Ben and Katie: Happily married and working and going to school. This consumes their life. You can check out their blog for more details.

Aaron: Recently returned missionary. He is attending Butte College in California and living at home where the rent is free. Ben and Katie have been nice enough to set him up on dates and help him adjust back to the real world.

Anthony: Just turned in his mission papers last week and is anxiously awaiting a call. We are all excited for him. In the meantime he is barely working at Round Table and hanging out with Aaron. There is also a rumor that he is reading Preach My Gospel. We hope this is true.

Caleb: Last but not least. Just turned 15. Actually is enjoying seminary this year because he likes his teacher, thank goodness. Loves to hang out with his siblings when they allow it. Loves to mow the lawn now that there is a riding lawn mower to do most the work.

That is my update sorry it was so long. I hope no one from my family is too offended I love them all!!

Earl Family

Here is goes. I am not a very good writer so this will be brief. We live in Monticello Utah. For those who are not sure where that is, it is 45 minutes south of Moab. It is a very small town with less than 3000 people living here. There are no major shopping stops (walmart, malls, eats, etc.), but it is at the base of a mountain and live about 7200 ft up, it is nice and quiet. It does get cold, but our summers are never hotter than 88 - 90 degrees. Jason works for Napa/Monticello Supply, and enjoys working there. I currently have no job, trying to get one, but I was going to school recently till last year. I was in one of the country's best nursing programs at CEU and found it to be not the right time of season for me if you know what I mean. I dropped out and decided to go in a couple of years when I can leave the kids at home for longer periods of time.
Konner is our oldest and is 11 years old now. He is in the 6th grade and most times enojoys going to school. He still cannot learn too much as his medications still do a good number to him. Yes he still struggles with epilepsy, but we are taking better measures this year as we have done more research and searched out alternative methods to make him better. He is a great blessing to have, and is a very funny kid. (He really likes being the class/family clown).

Tara twin #1, just turned 10 this summer. She started 5th grade and does love school and the social network that comes with it. She is definately energetic and reminds me of too much of me growing up. Am I in trouble? She loves to play with her sisters, and being the boss.

Kylie twin #2, is also a delight. She however is more of the quiet mouse most of the time. She doesn't show a lot of loud emotion and tends to be more of a peacemaker than a troublemaker. She loves to draw and write. She will sit at the table and draw pictures and color them all day If I allowed her too. She has a smile that will melt your heart and will definately be the chased after one when she starts dating, (of course they all will)..scary!

Cierra is almost 9! She has started the 3rd grade and out of all the kids loves school the most. She is my social butterfly and our drama queen. She can pitch a fit like no other, and it is too funny. She loves to read and play almost anything. She is very outgoing and fun to be around. She definately has that laughter magnet in her.

The English Clan

Here we are. I keep forgetting to actually do a post about my family. We are enjoying our time here in Pocatello, Idaho. Matt works for Bannock County as a Family Treatment Coordinator. He works with adults who have substance abuse problems and also with Child Protective Services to keep the adults clean and able to keep their children with them if possible instead of in foster care. He seems to really enjoy helping people and making a difference. He also gets to actively participate in different committees within the county. He is working on finishing his Master's Thesis and is teaching English at Idaho State University. He still serves as the Ward Mission Leader and loves it when the Elders ask him to take them disc golfing on their P-Day. He played in tournaments all summer and had so much fun. He will be so sad when it gets too cold to be out on the course.

I am doing everything a mom does. There's probably no other explanation needed.

Mitchell is 8 and in the third grade. He was just accepted into the Gifted and Talented program at his elementary school (I know, my kid's a genious). He enjoys reading and can be found in bed with various video game manuals reading them from cover to cover. He loves any and all video games and Pokemon. He has played baseball, soccer and basketball. His favorite seems to be playing goalie for his soccer team.
Archer is 5 and just started Kindergarten. He loves to tell jokes and make the kids laugh and we are afraid he will turn out to be the class clown. He idolizes Mitchell and wants to do what he is doing all the time. He loves to draw and says he wants to be an artist when he grows up. He also played soccer and t-ball this past year.

Addison will be 4 in a couple of weeks and is quite the princess. We snuck her in to a pre-school this year and she seems to be loving it. She loves to color and won't stop until she fills every square inch on her paper with crayon (or marker, or pencil, or ink, or paint). She loves to have tea parties and play outside and we will often find her in the backyard on the swings all by herself swinging and singing away.

Cameron is 8 months old now and just got his first tooth. We're still working on his sleep habits and hopefully can get him to take better naps during the day (so mom can get something done!). He loves his big brothers and sister. He loves to sit right in the middle of the action and play with toys, but if everyone leaves the room he will let you know that he does not want to be forgotten about.

Jonathan and Pam family update

I can barely do email so I am not so sure how this will turn out. I figured since I appear to be the only one that knows anything about the blog in Jonathan's family, I should post something. It will probably be old news since I live in Wyoming and everyone else is in Utah.
I'll start with us, Shawn and Amber Rand. We are all in school now. When I say all, I mean all eight of us. Shawn and I are taking classes at the local community college. Philip graduated this year and has started school in Missouri. Nate is in 8th grade, Liz is in 6th grade, both of which are in middle school. Zac is in 4th grade, Sam is in 1st, and Emily started kindergarten. We are still doing gymnastics. Now we have added football, basketball, swimming, soccer, and 4-H to our yearly calendar.

If you don't know by now, Brook and Jason are expecting twins in Nov. I think they are a little nervous about the cost of raising twins. They are in saving mode already. Florita, Jeremy's wife, is also expecting. I am not sure when she is due. I'll let you know.

Derek and Shelley have a senior this year. DJ is playing on the Granger football team.

Amanda has 6 kids now the youngest of which is 8 mos.

Kim is working at IHC in the lab. She has 2 kids, Kyra (4) and Elijah (2).

Lindsey is almost ready to submit her mission papers and Ian is working at Kennecott (?) as a night guard. He also graduated this spring and has his EMT basic. For now he is taking classes at SLCC. He hopes to go on his mission next year when he turns 19.

Mom is still the same, crazy. She has Amanda and Kim both living with her. That is 13 people living in the same house! I think Dad picks up overtime just to avoid the crowded house. He is still working at the airport for TSA.
